CRC Wire Rope and Cable Lube is a special blend of synthetic lubricants, solvents and Molybdenum designed to keep chains and wire rope in peak operating condition. With a low viscosity and wet film, CRC Wire Rope and Cable Lube penetrates deeply betwee chain links and wire strands to reduce friction and wear that cause metal fatigue. CRC Wire Rope and Cable Lube also contains a tackifier that enables the lubricant to cling tenaciously to metal surfaces without increasing the viscosity. Regular use of CRC Wire Rope and Cable Lube will help inhibit corrosion, reduce load stress and prevent wire strands from becoming brittle and fraying.
Applications
Recommended for use as a lubricant and corrosion inhibitor on low speed conveyor and drive chains, hoists, winches, pulleys, cushion pins, rollers, garage doors, bushings, seals, o-rings, and come-alongs.
Features & Benefits
- Low Viscosity- Provides the ability to penetrate and thoroughly coat interior wire strands and cushion pins.
- Contains Molybdenum - Provides cling ability to avoid sling-off or excess dripping, and prevents lubricant from pooling at lower ends of vertically hung chains and ropes.
- High Temperature Stability - Operates effectively in temperatures up to 175C continuous, equivalent to many grease products. Covers wide range of applications.
Typical Properties:
Directions of use
For Chain Lubrication:
- Apply to upper edges of overlapping chain side plates and allow lubricant to set up before energizing.
For Wire Rope Lubrication:
- Spray a light even coat over entire surface.
- Do not apply while equipment is energized in any application.
