Product Description
Containing silicone for control of weld spatter during welding operations. Spatters are the molten metal particles that produce during the welding process. When it already cool, the molten metal particles will be harden and stick on the surfaces such as welding table, floor, welding torch head or even on you! It will be so annoying to remove the spatters as they are so difficult to remove. To be worst, spatters can clog the welding torch head and cause short circuit.
This product provides a protective layer so that prevent the spatters to be sticking on the surfaces. The anti-spatter is applied before the welding process and can simply wipe away the spatters after the welding process with cloth or scrub with wire brush.
Application
This product is a heat resistant silicone film that prevents weld spatter building up in the nozzle of CO2 gas shrouded welding guns. Spatter blocks the flow of gas permitting oxygen from the air to weaken the weld.
To prevent this, spray a thin film into the shroud and over the nozzle of the welding gun. Should any spatter be left in the shroud after continuous welding, it can be very easily removed by simply tapping the gun and the spatter will drop out.
This product is not suitable for the automobile manufacturing industry. If a silicone spatter release is used, a problem of paint adhesion could occur.
Benefits
- One application remains intact through many operations reducing time lost for re-application.
- Life of nozzles and shrouds is extended thereby saving the expense of their premature replacement.
- delicate work pieces such as threads and machine parts from damage caused by spatter.
- jigs that become unserviceable due to build up of spatter.
- work pieces when operating an electric arc welder.
Spanjaard Spatter Release (Silicone) is suitable for all metal inert gas metal active gas and CO2 welding operations (MIG) (MAG) (CO2).
